These terms set out the basis on which we work with clients. They're referred to below as "Terms of Engagement" (also described as "Working With Us").

Content on this site (service descriptions, case studies, blog articles) is provided for general information and doesn't constitute a specific quote or contract for your particular project - actual scope, pricing, and RAMS are agreed separately in writing before any work begins. All content on this site, including text, logos, photographs, and case study material, is owned by Tyne Rope Access or used with permission, and may not be reproduced without our written consent.
Quotes
Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless stated otherwise. Acceptance of a quote (in writing, or by instructing us to proceed) constitutes agreement to these terms, unless a separate signed agreement is in place for that job.
Payment
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, invoices are due within 30 days of completion. For larger jobs we may require a deposit before work begins, with the balance due on completion. Late payment may incur interest in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
Site access & conditions
The client is responsible for providing safe access to the work site, any relevant permits or permissions, and disclosing any known hazards (structural issues, asbestos, live services, etc.) before work begins. Work carried out based on inaccurate or withheld site information is not our liability.
Weather & rescheduling
Rope access work is weather-dependent. We reserve the right to reschedule work for safety reasons (high wind, heavy rain, ice) at no penalty to either party. We'll give as much notice as reasonably possible.
Health & safety
Every job is covered by a site-specific Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS), completed before work begins. Where required, clients will be asked to review and countersign this.
Cancellation
Should the Client wish to cancel or postpone confirmed works, Tyne Rope Access Ltd requires no less than 7 days' written notice. Where less notice is given, or where materials, equipment, or subcontracted labour have already been ordered, paid for, or committed on the Client's behalf, the Client shall remain liable for the reasonable cost of such materials, equipment, and labour, in addition to any other costs already and irrecoverably incurred as a direct result of the cancellation.
Liability & insurance
We carry Public Liability and Employers' Liability insurance. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to loss or damage caused by our negligence, and excludes indirect or consequential loss.
Photography & case studies
We may photograph work in progress for our own records, health & safety documentation, and marketing (including anonymised case studies on our website and social media). If a client would prefer their job isn't used in any marketing material, they just need to let us know and we'll respect that.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
